Disco Inferno was a band formed in Essex, UK in 1989 by Ian Crause (guitar & vocals), Paul Wilmott (bass), Rob Whatley (drums) and Daniel Gish (keyboards). After the departure of Gish (who would later join Bark Psychosis) the three-piece Disco Inferno recorded the single 'Entertainment' with producer Charlie McIntosh. In 1996 Jon Nödtveidt from Dissection started writing some electronic music together with his friend Damien (Midvinter, Apollgon) who he was living with at the moment. The result of this was De Infernali. It was never meant to be a real band or even a project but more or less only a way to get some publishing money from Dissection's label Nuclear Blast.
