Mark Hofmann (formerly known as GODkrist) found ENGELSSTAUB (German for "angel's dust") in 1992. It was meant to be his solo project as well as the follow up project of the band LES FLEURS DU MAL. Sarah Engels (born on October 15, 1992 in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia) is a German singer. Engels is best known for finishing in 2nd place in the 8th season of German TV Casting Show DSDS in 2011. Sarah had been taking vocal lessons for four years and has participated in street festivals on many occasions. .

ENGELSBLUT was formed back in 1998 by a musician called Benjamin Luikenga (today also known as BeeJay from the Alternative-band Mono:Poly). Starting with a very electronic kind of music, ENGELSBLUT turned into a unique Gothic-Folk-Rock project. Influences on ENGELSBLUTs music come from In Extremo, Subway To Sally, Schandmaul and others.
