Earl Sweatshirt (born February 24, 1994) is an American rapper member of the Los Angeles hip hop collective OFWGKTA. He released his debut solo album, EARL, as a free digital download on the OFWGKTA website at sixteen years-old, with the help of founding OFWGKTA member Tyler, the Creator. His debut studio album, Doris, was released in 2013 to widespread critical acclaim. A DJ and a rookie producer, who both had a long experience at the turntables within the Belgian electro scene, formed Sweatshop in 2001 for the fun of mixing together. This cosmopolitan duo then moved on to producing tracks and five years later became a trio.
