Memory Man is a hip-hop producer/DJ, from Austin, Texas, by-way-of Boston.
Memory Man released his first project titled Wu-Tang Clan vs. D.I.T.C. in July 2009. This virtual face-off pits two of New York's most respected and influential crews against each other in an all-out blend war. The focus is on battle rhymes and the groups' golden era material, but there's a few exceptions. The tracks alternate between Wu-Tang Clan MC's rhyming over D.I.T.C. beats and vice versa. This mix is an attempt to illustrate how evenly matched the Wu-Tang Clan and D.I.T.C. really are/were.
Memory Man released his second project titled Cuban Revolution in August 2009. This Memory Man remix project collects various post-Cuban Linx Raekwon songs and reinvents them in classic Wu-Tang style. Endorsed by Raekwon himself (via Twitter) and Wu-Tang DJ Allah Mathematics who called it "classic," Cuban Revolution has also been praised by LA Times writer Jeff Weiss and Rolling Stone Magazine, who called it "grimy" and "gut-punching."
Most recently, in 2011, Memory Man released his third project titled I Amβ.β.β. (The Unauthorized Autobiography), the sequel to 2009's Cuban Revolution. This remix project reinvents Nas' 1999 album with golden era-style production. All of the original guest appearances remain intact, with the exception of Puff Daddy's chorus vocals on Hate Me Now which are performed here by MC Paul Barman. .
