There are two bands with the name Ashtar: 1) Ashtar are a Brazilian folk metal band with progressive influences. Their debut album, Urantia, is a thought-provoking combination of Celtic folk, Brazilian folklore, and interesting songcraft. Ashtar Command is the name of an indie music band currently comprising Brian Liesegang and Chris Holmes (the latter not to be confused with the former guitar player for the metal band W.A.S.P.). The band has released one album: "Love Songs In Advance of the Landing" and one EP: "Holding Out For Love".
