KARA (카라) was a popular South Korean girl group formed by DSP Media in 2007. At the time of their disbandment, their line-up consisted of Gyuri (박규리), Seungyeon (한승연), Hara (구하라), and Youngji (허영지). Former members include Sunghee, Jiyoung (강지영), and Nicole (니콜). They disbanded in 2016 as one of the industry's most prolific girl groups. KARA was originally a four-member group until former lead singer Sunghee decided to leave in February of 2008. Soon after, she was replaced by new members Hara and Jiyoung.
