There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Spastic hardcore punk from St. Louis area that has been compared to stuff like VOID and Deep Wound. Thus far, they have a demo entitled "Sugar Rush" and their debut 7" EP "Japanese Void" has just been released. Get it here: http://www.cowabungarecords.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=1645 2) Sweet Tooth was a "power trio" consisting of Dave Cochrane (vocals/bass), Justin Broadrick (guitars) and Scot Kiehl (drums). Their sound was an odd amalgam of jazzy drumming and multi-tracked industrial guitars. The band is best known for having Broadrick as a member, given his relative success with...
Toothfairy is taking a nap. An indefinitely long nap. Toothfairy kicked out electronic jamms from Portland OR, NOT to be confused with The New York based Toothfairy which makes moody psychedelic rock. The songs for Formative began as exercises in 2003. They once belonged to a catalog of fifty instrumentals entirely fabricated inside my laptop computer on winter evenings, weekend vacations and those moments of life that one savors for their relative calm. These doodles, built on rhythm and melody would absorb my free time, often on a sofa curled up in a blanket awash in lcd flicker, earphones cupping...
Pure Evil From Philadelphia Existing in the musty shadows of the Philly scene, Far-Out Fangtooth have built a most unique foundation of sound, mixing early Cramps swamp / garage blackout, nascent Bauhaus post-punk / quasi-goth bleakness as well as an uncanny nod to the witchy, ethereal leather glam of first-generation Blue Öyster Cult. Their debut LP, Pure & Disinterested (on Siltbreeze Records), follows a limited-edition 7-inch for local label Ian! Records. The Philly four-piece loves its ambience. Crash cymbals sound like rattling sheet metal, double-tracked guitars rumble like an amp on the fritz, and vocals wander in a nervy, unsteady...
Extreme Sludge/Doom Metal from the USA. Currently split up, last known members were Kyle Watson (Drums, Vocals) and Paul Riedl (Guitar, Vocals). .
Dogtooth™ is a musical collaboration between producer Neil ‘Nuff’ Stainton and the amazing young English singer Chris Madin. The two have been working together for a couple of years having originally collaborated on the 2005 Nuff Orchestra Album ‘Ten Atmospheres High’. In late 2005 Neil put together a house version of the Steve Miller Band classic ‘Abracadabra’ using samples from the original recording together with fresh beats and instrumentation. He circulated a couple of dozen CDR’s to some of the world’s top DJ’s. He was amazed at the response and several leading European dance labels expressed an interest in releasing...
