[url=http://[officialsite]www.rockpalast.de]Rockpalast is a German music television show that broadcasts live performances on German television station Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) in Cologne, in the past also via Eurovision transmission to 14 different countries. Rockpalast, which translates to English as Rock Palace, started in 1974 and continues to this day. Almost 2,000 rock, pop, blues and jazz bands have already performed on Rockpalast, a complete list is available at the Rockpalast archive site. Some acts were recorded for broadcast throughout Europe and are available at retail outlets such as Amazon.com, others are featured on You Tube. Rockpalast also sponsored several open air festivals, e.g. the Bizarre Festival. .
