Red Velvet (Hangul: 레드벨벳) is a five-member South Korean girl group formed by S.M. Entertainment in 2014. They made their debut with the digital single "행복 (Happiness)", which was released August 4, 2014. The group originally consisted of four members: Irene (아이린), Seulgi (슬기), Wendy (웬디), and Joy (조이). クリーデンス・クリアウォーター・リバイバル （Creedence Clearwater Revival、略称CCR）はアメリカのバンド。 アメリカ南部特有の泥臭いサウンドを持ち味としたサザンロックの先駆者的存在。 活動期間は短いながらもロック界に大きな足跡を残し、 1993年にロックの殿堂入りを果たしている。 1959年にジョン・フォガティ、スチュ・クック、 ダグ・クリフォードの3人で結成されたブルー・ベルベッツを前身とする。 後にジョンの兄のトム・フォガティが加入する。 1967年にサンフランシスコのファンタジー・レコードと契約し、 バンド名をゴリウォッグスと変えてデビュー。 1968年にバンド名をクリーデンス・クリアウォーター・リバイバルと改めた。 同年にスワンプロック（南部のロック）のカバー曲「スージーQ」がヒットし、 当時ヒッピー文化が全盛だったサンフランシスコでは異色の存在として脚光を浴びる。 1969年から1970年にかけて、 彼らの代表曲となる「プラウド・メアリー」、「ダウン・オン・ザ・コーナー」、 「雨を見たかい」といったヒットを飛ばす。 ところが「プラウド・メアリー」（3週連続）、「バッド・ムーン・ライジング」、 「グリーン・リヴァー」、「トラヴェリン・バンド」（2週連続）、 「ルッキン・アウト・マイ・バック・ドア」という、 この5曲は全てビルボード・シングルチャートで全米第2位に泣かされている。 全米No.1を獲得出来なかったアーティストの中で 最多5曲の全米第2位楽曲を持つという珍記録になっている。 前途洋々かと思われたバンドだったが ジョンに注目が集まりすぎたゆえにメンバーの仲がぎくしゃくし、 1971年にトムが脱退。 翌1972年に発表したアルバム 「マルディ・グラ」は各メンバーの曲やボーカルも取り入れた民主的な作品であったが失敗に終わり、 バンドはあっけなく解散した。 ジョンはソロ作『ブルー・リッヂ・レインジャーズ』（1973年）、 『ジョン・フォガティ』（1975年）を発表するが、 楽曲の著作権にかかわる訴訟に巻き込まれたため、 CCR時代の楽曲が唄えなくなってしまった。 また訴訟関連に嫌気が差したことも影響して、 音楽活動に消極的になり隠遁状態が続いた。 しかし、1985年には『センターフィールド』を発表、同作はミリオン・セラーを記録し、 1997年に発表した『ブルー・ムーン・スワンプ』では、 キャリアの集大成的なサウンドを披露しグラミー賞を獲得した。 また同年に開かれたソロライブでは数多くのCCR時代の楽曲も披露した。 また2003年には、『THE BLUES Movie Project』を締めくくるコンサートに客演するなど、 寡作ではあるものの健在振りをアピールしていた。 2007年訴訟問題が解決したジョンは古巣のファンタジー・レーベルから『リバイバル』を発表。 二人のメンバー、 スチュとダグは現在「クリーデンス・クリアウォーター・リヴィジテッド」としてライブ活動を行っているが、 別活動のジョンとの接触はない。トムは1990年にエイズのため死去している。 .
