頭はオオカミ、身体は人間という外見の5人組のロックバンド。 バンド自体の結成時期は公表されておらず、メンバーの年齢や国籍も非公開となっている。 2010年11月3日、FROM YOUTH TO DEATH RECORDSより、ミニアルバム「WELCOME TO THE NEWWORLD」でインディーズデビュー。2011年4月6日には、シングル「NEVER FXXKIN' MIND THE RULES」をリリース。 2010年11月17日より全4公演で全米ツアーをした際に、告知ポスターを見たエアロスミスのスティーヴン・タイラーが「クール」と叫び、自身のステージでMAN WITH A MISSIONのアルバムタイトルを連呼したことでも話題になっている。 2011年6月8日に日本クラウンからアルバム「MAN WITH A MISSION」をリリースしメジャーデビュー。 2012年7月18日にアルバム「MASH UP THE WORLD」をリリース。同アルバムが、第5回CDショップ大賞で大賞を受賞。 2013年2月20日には2ndシングル「Emotions」をリリース。その週のテレビ朝日系「ミュージックステーション・Mステ」に出演し、奇抜な外見と確かな音楽性で一気に注目を集めた。 2013年8月19日、Sony Music Recordsへの移籍を発表。移籍後初のシングル「database feat. TAKUMA(10-FEET)」表題曲「database feat. TAKUMA(10-FEET)」はテレビアニメ『ログ・ホライズン』のOPとして起用。 2014年2月12日、コンピレーション・アルバム「Beef Chicken Pork」をリリースし全米デビュー。一部日本語詞で歌われていた曲も、本作への収録にあたって全編英語詞で録音しなおされている。 2015年5月20日、スプリットEP「Out of Control」(MAN WITH A MISSION×ZEBRAHEAD名義)をリリース。ZEBRAHEADとの共作である表題曲「Out of Control」は、『マッドマックス 怒りのデス・ロード (原題: Mad Max: Fury Road)』の日本版EDとして起用された。 今後も動向から目が離せないバンドである。 .
