Yora, one of the leading bands of the indie scene in Istanbul, Turkey, was formed in the spring of 2003 and has released two EPs titled “Karsilasma” (2005) and “Bugun” (2008) since. Having started to establish their own mass of audience with their first album “Bugun”, which comprises four songs, Yora has made public appearances at important indie-alternative music scenes, particularly at Peyote and Dogzstar, and at university festivals. Nigel "NiyoRah" Olivacce was born on October 9, 1980 in the coastline village of Pointe Michel, Dominica. At age 4, he moved to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, with his family, and cultivated an interest in music through listening to artists in his father's and uncle's roots reggae collections, including Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer, Burning Spear and Lucky Dube.
