French percussion group featuring Cerrone. Their 1974 debut was co-produced by Alec R. Costandinos. Cerrone & Costandinos rose to fame two years later with the disco sensation Love in C Minor before they parted from each other, both continuing to record ground-breaking disco albums in the late 70s. Cerrone revived Kongas in 1977, producing the album Africanism, yielding a French single hit with their percussion-disco-rock version of Steve Winwood's "Gimme Some Lovin'".
