そこから発表した“Everybody Needs Love”(67年R&B 3位)、“I Heard It Through The Grapevine”(67年R&B 1位)で人気を決定づける。 そこからの“Midnight Train To Georgia”や“I Feel A Song”もモータウン晩期を継承するサウンドといえる。 .
