リック・ロス (Rick Ross) とは、アメリカ合衆国 フロリダ州 マイアミ出身のラッパーである。1976年1月28日生まれで、本名はウィリアム・レオナルド・ロバーツ。1stアルバム「Port of Miami」に収録されている1stシングル「Hustlin'」が、US.Hot100の54位にチャートインしたことでを脚光を浴び始める。結果的に本国アメリカではリリースした4枚のアルバムの内2枚がいずれもゴールドディスクを獲得する程の人気を得た。
1976年1月28日にミシシッピ州で生まれ、フロリダ州,マイアミで育つ。
2006年に入ると、「Def Jam records」傘下のメジャーレーベル「Slip-n-Slide Records」と契約を結び、同年8月6日に、1stアルバム「Port of Miami」をリリース。見事、ビルボードアルバムチャート1位を記録し、70万枚以上を売り上げゴールドディスクを獲得した。
そして2008年3月11日に、2ndアルバム「Trilla」をリリース。前作と同じくアルバムチャートにて初登場1位を記録し、80万枚近くを売り上げゴールドディスクを獲得した。
2009年4月21日には、前作から1年という短いスパンで製作された3rdアルバム「Deeper Than Rap」をリリースし、前作と同じくアルバムチャートにて初登場1位を記録。現在までに全米で40万枚以上を売り上げている。
2010年7月20日には、4thアルバム「Teflon Don 」がリリースされた。全米アルバムチャートでは、初登場2位を記録。 .
