GUNIW TOOLS（グニュウ ツール）は、日本のバンドの一つ。 ・1990年　FULL（古川とも）によりGUNIW発足。 ・1992年　ギターのJAKE（川瀬昌知）加入。バンド名をGUNIW TOOLSと改める。 ・1994年　ギターのASAKI（山鼻朝樹）加入。 ・1996年　ビデオ『1992-1994』でビクターからメジャーデビュー。 ・1997年9月10日　ＮＨＫホールでライブ。しかしその後（97年秋）、JAKE脱退。 ・2000年11月26日　渋谷公会堂でのライブをもって活動休止。それぞれソロ活動へ。 ・すべてのアルバムを映像化（小道具、撮影、編集等は自力で）するという、視覚と聴覚で世界観を表現したバンドである。 ・サウンド面では初期はアコースティックなアプローチがされていたが、JAKE脱退以降はテクノ、インダストリアルロック系になっていった。コンテンポラリーダンサーのDINAHと、HIROPONの異次元空間のようなダンスが映像作品随所にちりばめられている。 ・グループ名のグニュウツールとは「グニャグニャした道具」という意味である。 メンバー ・FULL（古川とも）：ボーカル、ビデオ編集、小物作りなど、多角的にこなす。椎茸となすびが苦手バンマス。GUNIW TOOLS以前にはゲームメーカーのデータイーストに在籍し、シューティングゲーム『ダーウィン4078』において、ゲームデザイン、グラフィック、サウンドなどほとんどを一人で手がけた事でも知られる。(Guniw Tools → Nookicky → SHILFEE AND TULIPCOROBOCKLES, Tafuca Madara(結成時)/TAFUCA, ocq) ・ASAKI：ギター。パンクスで、おちゃめなところがある。(Guniw Tools → Age of Punk, Bug) 旧メンバー ・JAKE：ギター。初期のサウンドプロデュースに貢献。(Guniw Tools → Super Soul Sonics→ cloudchair) .
