2006年「EXILE VOCAL BATTLE AUDITION 2006～ASIAN DREAM～」に参加、惜しくも三次審査にて敗退。 その後、新生 J Soul Brothers VOCALオーディションの話が舞い込み、2007年1月、新生 J Soul Brothersとして選出。 2009年2月25日、アルバム「 J Soul Brothers」でメジャーデビュー。 2009年3月1日、EXILEに加入。Vocal & Performerとして活動中。 SHOKICHI初の作詞/曲「Everlasting Song」が、2012年1月1日発売 EXILEとATSUSHIソロを同時に収録したアルバム 「EXILE JAPAN/ATSUSHI Solo」に収録。 2012年、二代目 J Soul Brotherの5人より構成されたユニット、THE SECOND from EXILE 始動。 11月7日、THE SECOND from EXILE「THINK’BOUT IT!」リリース。 2014年2月、THE SECOND from EXILE 1st ALBUM「THE II AGE」をリリース。自身も多数、作詞作曲を手掛ける。 2014年6月、EXILE SHOKICHIとして1stシングル「BACK TO THE FUTURE」にて待望のソロデビューを果たす。 現在ソロとして4枚のシングルをリリースしている。 .
