THE COLLECTORS（ザ・コレクターズ）は、1986年に結成された日本のロックバンド。ネオモッズ、ネオGS、はたまたビート系バンドの元祖などと様々な冠を付けられている。 その音楽活動は多くのミュージシャンから賞賛されている。理由のひとつとして、貪欲なまでの音楽への探究心がある。彼らを語る上で、独特な世界観を持つ歌詞も重要なポイントである。代表曲として「世界を止めて」、「MOON LOVE CHILD」、「Good-bye」などが挙げられる。バンド名は、テレンス・スタンプ主演の映画『コレクター』に由来する。 メンバー 加藤ひさし（かとう ひさし、本名: 加藤 弥（読み同じ）、1960年11月22日 - ） ボーカル担当。血液型はA型。矢沢永吉の多くの楽曲の作詞も手がけている。 古市コータロー（ふるいち コータロー、本名: 古市 耕太郎（ふるいち こうたろう）、1964年5月30日 - ） ギター担当。血液型はO型。リッケンバッカー・コレクターの一人。 小里誠（おり まこと、1965年3月13日 - ） ベース担当。元オリジナル・ラヴのメンバー。血液型はA型。 阿部耕作（あべ こうさく、1966年7月30日 - ） ドラムス担当。また、チリヌルヲワカのメンバーとしても活動。血液型はA型。 旧メンバー リンゴ田巻（リンゴ たまき） ドラムス担当。1991年1月まで在籍。 チョーキーとしはる（チョーキー としはる） ベース担当。1991年1月まで在籍。 来歴 1986年2月、東京モッズシーンの中核をなしていたバンド、ザ・バイクとして活動していた加藤ひさしとリンゴ田巻が中心となり、ザ・コレクターズを結成。同年9月に古市コータロー、チョーキーとしはるが加入。 1987年、インディーズ盤『ようこそお花畑とマッシュルームの王国へ』をリリース。11月には、『僕はコレクター』をテイチクBAIDISレーベルよりリリースしメジャーデビュー。以後、BAIDISレーベルには４枚のアルバムを残す。 1991年1月、リンゴ田巻、チョーキーとしはるが脱退、小里誠と阿部耕作が加入し現在のラインアップに。2月にレーベルをコロムビア/TRIADレーベルに移籍し、同年7月に、当時ピチカート・ファイヴの小西康陽のプロデュースによるアルバム『COLLECTOR NUMBER 5』をリリース。 1996年10月10日、日比谷野外音楽堂で結成10周年ライブを行う。 2000年1月、覆面バンド、ザ・マジェスティック・フォーとして、ミニアルバム『MAGIC FUN FAIR』をリリース。 2004年、オリジナルアルバム11枚をボーナストラック＋紙ジャケ仕様でリイシュー。 2006年10月22日、日比谷野外音楽堂で結成20周年ライブ行う。 .

Inspired by the raw power of the Stooges and the glam rock excess of the New York Dolls, Birmingham, England, native Dave Kusworth formed his first band (TV Eye) at the age of 16.
