Reactor-5 was founded in 2005 with an idea for a band with two keyboards and ethnic percussion added to drums. This line-up was perfect for fusion flavored jazz music, composed mainly by Jussi Fredriksson and Aki Rissanen. The nature of Reactor-5's music is thoroughly structured and composed, but it also includes freely improvised passages. The music is multi-dimensional, the moods ranges from breathy ballads to burning odd-time signature ones. Some of the musical influences are Joe Zawinul and Miles Davis' late 60's-early 70's era, Herbie Hancock and Keith Jarrett. .
