deadman（デッドマン）は、かつて存在していた日本のロックバンド。 deadmanは2000年に結成された。 ヴィジュアル系のジャンルに括られることもあるが、その音楽性はグランジなどの洋楽的要素が強く、ボーカル眞呼のステージ上でのパフォーマンススタイルやファッションなどからはデカダン色の濃いゴシックロックを思わせる要素もあった。 結成当初は中京圏を中心に活動していたが、2001年の1stアルバム「SiteOfScafFold」リリースと前後して活動範囲を東京・大阪にも広げ、その人気を確立していった。 2003年3月8日、フルアルバム「no alternative」をリリース。以降、徐々に集客動員を増やし、「2003 tour [dark]」と名を冠した全国ツアー、東名阪ワンマンライブ「oneman tour [no alternative] 」などを行う。以降もコンスタントに活動を続け、2005年12月14日には集大成ともいえる作品「in the direction of sunrise and night light」をリリース。 2006年1月には、初となるヨーロッパツアーを慣行。2006年5月23日、Shibuya O-EASTでのライヴを以て活動休止している。 活動休止間近には、the GazettE、ナイトメア、ムック、MERRYらと2マンライヴを行った。また、Lynch.とは、「デビッドリンチ」と称したカップリングツアーを行い、コラボ本「david&lynch」をリリースした。メンバー同志も交友関係にあった。 .
