Iosophis is a folk duo from France, formed by Naharda Ior (druid) and Victor Yann (bard). They make ritual music as it should always be: simple, intense, contemplative, ageless.

Their first album, titled "N", was released in 2010 on Totsoluna Disc. It can be difficult to classify in predefined genre categories: folk and electronic elements mix seamlessly, the emphasis on percussive rhythm and the male vocals, chanting repetitively in a secret, initiatory language, play a key role in conjuring the truly ritual atmosphere.

Their second album, titled "M", was released in 2011 again on Totsoluna Disc. Less minimal, more emotional and organic and all in all more undeniably "folk" than its predecessor. "M" was inspired and recorded live, three days after the Winter Solstice, in miscellaneous places such as small churches, ruins and forests near the centre of France. Sometimes reminiscent of 1970s British folk music, sometimes calling to mind the work of Scivias or Cascadian folk bands. .
