There are at least four artists using the name Imperial.

1.) Black metal band from El Salvador, formed in 2006 Imperial has gone through lot of changes, members and experimental phases, but finally has found its own style in Black Metal leaving behind any melodic or symphonic experimental stage.

2.) Imperial is a hip-hop producer. Hip-hop is far removed from its days of being isolated to small pockets located in inner city America. It’s a cultural phenomenon that has impacted countries, cities, and neighborhoods the world over. Look no further than Imperial, hailing from North Wales, UK, for proof. The latest signing to Illect Recordings may have been raised far from one of innumerable hip hop hotbeds, but it didn’t stop him from learning the ropes of the genre, even if it meant honing his skills on old software installed to his computer from a floppy disc.

Imperial, who first fell in love with hip hop as a youth through the sounds of Jurassic 5, has been honing his production and turntable skills for over a decade. Just last year, he gained increased notoriety through his remixes of tracks by some of the underground elite, including Mr. J. Medeiros, The Procussions, and J-Live. Now, as the newest member of Illect’s team, Imperial is excited to take his work to the next level. “I’m really excited to represent the UK for Illect. It’s a great opportunity to work on a ruck of new music with the artistic freedom and innovation that Illect allows its artists,” says Imperial. “I’m sure there’ll be some transatlantic collaborations in the pipeline too.”

Currently residing in Cambridge, UK, Imperials love of multiple genres along with his own personal flavor shines through brightly in his past work. With a full instrumental project currently in the works and the passion and motivation to be a true innovator in the genre, there’s certainly a bright future ahead for the young producer. “I just want to produce fresh new music that makes people feel – music that people can connect with,” says Imperial. “I’ve got a real thing for hip hop’s golden era, which I like to combine with modern production. I hope this comes through in my music.”

3.) Imperial is an American metalcore band from Orlando, Florida. Their music is a mixture of modern metal, hardcore, and Black Metal.

History:
The Red Letter (2003-2005)
Imperial was formed by Dale Dupree, Josh Lightfoot, and Brandon Pangle as "The Red Letter", in Orlando, Florida in 2003. They toured with other bands throughout the United States, ending with a performance at CornerStone Fest in Illinois. The tour resulted in a recording contract with Pluto Records. Shortly afterward, the band changed their name from "The Red Letter", due to other bands having similar names, to the name Imperial.

This Grave Is My Poem (2004-2006)
After signing with Pluto Records, the band released their first album, This Grave Is My Poem, with the help of Jeremy Staska at Studio 13 and Allan Douches at West West side for mastering duties. After this release, they spent the next year touring national with other bands, as well as headlining their own tour. After the tours had completed, they began working on their new album. During another concert tour, two members departed the band, leaving Dale Dupree, Josh Lightfoot and Brandon Pangle as the remaining members of Imperial.

We Sail At Dawn (2006-2008)
After adding new band members to the lineup, Imperial continued to write for and record their new album, We Sail At Dawn. The record was released on September 26, 2006, and was followed by another tour. Soon afterward, the band's three new members left Imperial. Guitar player Ivan Sherman and Bass player Zack Fortune joined the band along with Zack "Nascar" on drums for a short period of time during the tour for We Sail At Dawn. Drummer Stephen Poole (Society's Finest, Inked In Blood) also filled in on drums for some local shows and a few tours. We Sail At Dawn received a very average review nationally with very little negativity by the media, appearing in magazine reviews such as Revolver Magazine, featured on compilations such as Metal=Life Volume II and gaining radio play on local and college radio stations throughout the United States.

Book of Villains (2008-present)
The band wrapped up 2008 with additional member changes. Most notably, founding member Brandon Pangle decided to leave the band to spend more time with his new wife. The band added Josh Adelman as guitarist, and Chris Lane as drummer. The new four-member lineup, including original members Josh Lightfoot and Dale Dupree, are currently working on their upcoming album, Book of Villains

4.) American Black Metal band. Not to be confused with the Metalcore band Imperial from Florida.

Changed the name to Krieg in between recording the demos "Endless Path" and "Battlegod" as a solo-project.

All Imperial recordings have later been re-released on Krieg's compilation of early material called "The Black Plague".

Reformed in 2010 with N. Imperial on all instruments. A 7 inch titled "Corpse Aesthetic" has been recorded. .
