Biography Les Chants de Nihil is initially a basic project, made by Jerry & Mist from Legion Mortifere. The first tracks are improvisations in an old-school and basic black metal way. In february 2008 was created the first album, named "Les Six Leçons" (the six lessons) which is marking the new conception of black metal, with an idea of reformation. Since this album, Les Chants de Nihil drive through a philosophical and rationalist goal: to couple violence with hope. I Chants of Maldoror nascono nell'inverno del 1994 quando Adolphe (voce) e David (basso), provenienti da una band ultra underground (nessuno show, nessun lavoro ufficiale) di nome Mater Tenebrarum, decidono di dar vita insieme ad Echo ad un progetto di musica medievale/ritualistica. La band prende il nome dal poema di Isidore Ducasse conte di Lautréamont "I Canti di Maldoror", macabro capolavoro di surrealismo ante litteram. Dopo l'ingresso del chitarrista Loren il sound della band assume caratteristiche più "cruente", virando verso sonorità decisamente death-rock, così la nuova identità dei Chants of Maldoror nasce dall'unione delle suggestioni della prosa visionaria del Conte...

Despondent Chants was formed in mid 2002 by Carlos and Miguel Medina , initially as a personal project because at that time both were part of Slowdeath (Heavy Thrash), driven by the desire to develop a sound that is identified more with their influences and musical tastes, led to the composition of several songs sound heavily influenced by the Doom Metal. For a short period songs were rehearsed, but due to unavailability of other instruments required on issues which prevented a more steady progress was necessary to include support from some musician friends: Miguel Vergara , (ex Slow Death )...
