Yellow Magic Orchestra è una band di electropop giapponese, formatasi nel 1978. Ha raggiunto la seconda posizione nella classifica dei migliori artisti giapponesi stilata da HMV.
Il gruppo è considerato uno dei pionieri del Synth-pop e dell'Electro-pop, insieme ai tedeschi Kraftwerk. I membri principali sono Haruomi Hosono (basso, tastiere) Yukihiro Takahashi (batteria e percussioni, voce principale) e Ryuichi Sakamoto (tastiere),reduce dal debutto musicale a suo nome con il lavoro Thousand Knives.
L'idea iniziale era di creare un album con suoni orientaleggianti ed elettronica insieme. In seguito, il successo del primo disco convinse i musicisti ad accantonare le proprie carriere soliste...
La Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) è un gruppo rock britannico sorto a Birmingham nel 1969 dalle ceneri della "beat band" dei Move, fondato dal frontman Jeff Lynne e dall'istrionico Roy Wood, e piuttosto noto specialmente nella seconda metà degli anni '70.
La musica appartiene a un genere rock-sinfonico melodico (nella band è presente anche un terzetto d'archi) con evidenti influenze "beatlesiane" (Lynne lavorerà a lungo dagli anni '80 in poi con George Harrison) e talvolta vicino alla disco music. .

Fragmentorchestra is the pairing of Italian jazz aficionados Luca Pernici & Giulio Vetrone. The result is a beautiful and up-tempo album of moods and grooves for some autumnal bliss. For Luca and Giulio, Jazz also means improvisation, which Luca Pernici explains. "A musician, in the moment at which improvisation occurs, is irrationally set free from any approach, creating a philosophy of composition without any given time or place".
