Power-pop hero Nick Rudd's first solo act, known as Blown, gave Parasol its first full-length release with Forever in 1993. Rudd didn't bother with veneer of a band name with his next solo album, 1999's One Track Mind. Nick also plays guitar for Weird Summer (Parasol-CD/009 and Parasol-CD012) and used to the frontman for Turning Curious. Turning Curious (later know as the B-Lovers) released a Mitch Easter produced album on Metro-America titled Soul Light Season in the mid-80s. Speedlow came into being in March 2009 by John T and Costas P. Elements such as devotion and stubbornness (in the good way), melody, heaviness, energy, groove, originality (as far as possible, given the times we live in) and above all, the will to work as much as needed to reach the bands goals and meet its expectations, combine the founding stone of the band.

The Plague Monkeys are a four piece band from Dublin, Ireland. They are Carol Keogh (vocals), Donal O' Mahony (guitars, keyboards and mandolin), Barry Roden (bass) and Thomas Haugh (drums, percussion and keyboard). They formed in December 1995, and released an independent demo EP "People And Machinery" just before the New Year.
The musical world inhabited by The Plague Monkeys is the same evocative place that one might find, say a Mazzy Star or Mary Margaret O'Hara. Try to imagine The Velvet Underground jamming with the Cocteau Twins and you begin to get an impression of this group. .
