Black Beat (블랙 비트) was a boy band from South Korea formed in 2000. Black Beat belonged to SM Entertainment. Owl City è un progetto musicale synth pop statunitense creato da Adam Young nel 2007.
Le maggiori influenze sono la disco e la musica elettronica europea. Dopo l'EP dal titolo Of June del 2007 e l'album Maybe I'm Dreaming, Owl City ha guadagnato popolarità nel 2009 grazie all'album Ocean Eyes, che contiene il singolo Fireflies. Quest'ultimo è stato in testa alle classifiche statunitensi e canadesi e divenne la canzone più scaricata su iTunes negli Stati Uniti, permettendo all'album di raggiungere la top ten delle classifiche statunitensi.
