Frank Ross (born December 23, 1977), better known by stage name Nitty is a Pop rap artist from The Bronx who started his debut album in 2004.
His singles include "Nasty Girl" and "Hey Bitty," the former reaching #1 in sales in the United States in 2004, and also debuted at #1 in Australia in 2005. His album is titled Player's Paradise. He also works with Bad Boy Records as a producer for some of their songs and music videos.

La Nitty Gritty Dirt Band è un gruppo country, folk e rock statunitense, formatosi nel 1966 a Long Beach in California e tuttora attivo. Oggi, i componenti sono: Bob Carpenter (chitarra, voce); Jimmie Fadden (batteria, armonica, voce); Jeff Hanna (tastiere, fisarmonica); John McEuen (banjo, chitarra, mandolino, fiddle). One of his earliest stageshow performances occured in 1979 alsongside General Echo and Madoo for the Stereophonic sound system. However, he didn't become a star until 1983-84, perfoming mostly for Sugar Minott's Youthman Promotion.
By 1985, Nitty had recorded many hit tunes including "Run Down the World", "Good Morning Teacher", and "False Alarm" for the Jammys label. The latter was likely dancehall reggae's most popular "counteraction" tune ever, a response to the massive hit "Ring the Alarm" by Tenor Saw.
