I Disgorge si formano nel 1992 dalle menti di Ricky Myers alla batteria, Bryan Ugartechea al basso e voce, e Tony Freithoffer alla chitarra. Nello stesso anno rilasciano il primo demo Cognitive Lust Of Mutilation e si stabiliscono definitivamente a San Diego entrando cosi a far parte della scena brutal underground di quella città.
