Al secolo Shirley Klarisse Yonavive Edwards, nata il 1° maggio 1974 a Londra. Decide per il nome d'arte Skye semplicemente prendendo l'iniziale di ciascun nome. Ex voce (dal 1996 al 2003) del gruppo inglese trip-hop dei Morcheeba, costituita dai due fratelli Godfrey e dalla stessa Skye. Il suo primo album da solista è Mind How You Go, uscito nel febbraio 2006, il cui titolo è preso da una raccomandazione che la mamma era solita farle quando era bambina: "Bye, take care mind how you go". .
