Originari del Tennessee, i Kings Of Leon sono un gruppo formatosi nel 1999 a Nashville e composto prettamente in famiglia dai tre fratelli Anthony Caleb Followill, Ivan Nathan Followill, Michael Jared Followill e dal loro cugino Cameron Matthew Followill. I tre fratelli furono cresciuti dalla madre Betty e dal padre Ivan - un predicatore della chiesa Pentecostale – ritrovandosi spesso a viaggiare da una parte all'altra degli States per l'attività pastorale paterna. L'inizio per la band non fu dei migliori a causa dei numerosi litigi, le ostilità crebbero ulteriormente quando altre band gallesi, come i Lostprophets e i Funeral For A Friend, divennero famose e popolari. Quando arrivò anche per loro il momento di registrare un demo furono abbandonati dal bassista Nik Cradle. Non riuscendo a trovare un accordo per registrare il demo si sciolsero. Risolti i dissidi trovarono in Jason "Jay" James il bassista che stavano cercando e cambiarono il loro nome da "Jeff Killed John", prima in "Opportunity in Chicago" e poi in Bullet For My Valentine (2004). Kumbia Kings was a Latin Grammy-winning Mexican cumbia group from Corpus Christi, Texas created by A.B. Quintanilla in 1999. Their music encompasses the styles of cumbia (hence their name), Hip-Hop and RnB. They produce songs in both Spanish and English. The band's producers from the beginning have been A.B.
