Dave Brubeck (Concord, 6 dicembre 1920– Norwalk, 5 dicembre 2012) è stato un pianista e compositore jazz statunitense.
Inizialmente studiò musica classica con la madre, che aveva studiato pianoforte in Inghilterra ed avendo mancato la carriera di concertista si era dedicato all'insegnamento. Brubeck però rifuggiva dalla lettura classica, alla quale preferiva l'improvvisazione, ed iniziò a comporre istintivamente.
