Having spent the last 2 years abroad in Stockholm and Berlin, the beginnings of Stevie Vid started on November 6 2009, during a dark Winter's night at the Casiokids concert Hornstull strand, Stockholm where Stevie met a close friend who inspired him to start a new music project in Stockholm . Prior to moving to Europe, Stevie has been active in various indie/pop lo- fi projects and uses various aliases such as Wiffle, Hoshi in the Clouds, Whalerider and Golden sun. At 23 years of age, producing from his bedroom and laptop, he has received airplay from indie pop stations from different parts of the world including Triple J Australia, DJ Astrogirl indie pop - Thessaloniki, FBi Sydney and a local finalist for MTV Kickstart and V Festival Melbourne. Demo single "Nerds at Heart" was the first track produced by Stevie whilst living Stockholm. It was immediately given dance floor love at respected indie clubs around Stockholm, such as" Debaser" and "Strand". It has also been featured on Swedish Dj Hannah K's "Klub Sweetness" label. in 2011 Stevie Vid releases single "Friend from School" and "Take me Along" on Parisan Label "Cracki Records" and has been shortlisted and selected for the Mercedes Benz Mix-tape compilation, Germany. He returns to Melbourne to work on further releases and his band "Chimneys". Stevie Vid is 100% independent.
