The Terribles, a Philadelphia based band, have been together since the summer of 2005. Originally consisting of Elliott HD, Bon Scott Soma, and The Rev. Terrible Tom Waste, they wrote, recorded and toured for an album called Banned From Life. They also recorded the extremely rare Live at The Grape Street, which consisted of mostly new material not featured on Banned From Life. Original drummer Soma was the first to move on from the band. This prompted Waste and HD to find Rollo The Terrible, a more than capable replacement for Soma. With Rollo on drums, The Terribles continued to tour around and sell albums for some time before Waste decided to return to school for his teaching degree. Initially the band broke up with the exit of Waste, but with pressure from Rollo, HD decided to replace Waste and keep going. The first replacement, Kitty Kat O’Reily, was hand picked by Waste. She lasted a very short time before deciding that the heavy show and practice schedule the band kept was not for her. She moved on leading HD and Rollo having a mutual friend The Jowens come in on bass. Jowens fell right into the swing of things, and in no time The Terribles were moving forward again. Eventually recording Banned From Life Again, an Ep with two new tracks and rerecords of some older ones. With the management skills of Rollo, the songwriting of HD, and the showmanship of Jowens, The Terribles decided to add a forth member to round out the sound. Initial tryouts proved to be less then heartening, but eventually they found B.A. Bryan Nueber to play lead guitars. The four of them continued to write new material and for a time briefly changed their name to The Service Station Kings, a move that did not last long. All was not well though. Rollo and HD bickered over the direction of the band, Jowens lost interested, and Nueber moved on with Jowens. Both cited the infighting between HD and Rollo as major reasons for leaving the band. The Terribles were over, and HD moved on and started Thunderbird, a five piece throw back rock band.

But in the March of 2010, HD received a phone call from Jersey Shows, a local promotion company, asking if The Terribles would play a Battle of The Bands. HD called Rollo, Jowens, and Nueber and asked if they wanted to play. Rollo was said yes, Nueber and Jowens said no. So HD called O’Reily again, and she agreed. They returned to the stage as a three piece and won the first two rounds of the battle. Eventually HD got Nueber to cave in and by the third round Bryan was back in the line up. But things weren't going as expected. O’Reily was not happy with playing in The Terribles. What was supposed to be a favor for a few shows had turned into a full time thing, so after the final show of the Jersey Shows BOTB, she moved on leaving the bass player spot open once again. Rollo eventually got his friend Chris Ogbin to step in and The Terribles move forward, writing new material and preparing to record their next effort. .
