Marjan Debaene is one of the top female singer-songwriters in Belgium.
She has been so for over a decade, since her first album, Growing Pains, was released in September 1996. That album, containing 17 acoustic-electric poprock songs, got some good reviews in specialized magazines and media in Belgium. The second album called Humanoid, which was released in 1999 generated a huge tour in Flemish and Dutch cultural centres.
In 2006 Marjan released her independently produced third album Wolfish Times on her own record label 'Superjane Music'. The album which received critical acclaim opened doors to international stages. She played concerts outside of Belgium in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Iceland, the U.K. and France - solo or with her outstanding band, featuring bassplayer Bert Embrechts, drummer Eric Bosteels and longtime friend and guitarplayer Alex Brackx.
