There are at least six artists who go by the name Cicada: a New Zealand based rock group (formed 1992), an electronic musician (now called Tettix), an UK electronic band (formed 2002), the moniker for Japanese electronic musician Hiroshi Ogawa, a Nigerian band, a modern classical band from Taipei, Taiwan and a Japanese electronic/hip-hop band stylized as CICADA (シケイダ), formed in 2012 and led by vocalist Akiko Kido (城戸あき子). 1) Cicada from Taiwan is 5-piece modern classical/post-rock/acoustic band from Taipei, Taiwan.
