"Mungolian Jet Set has become the main musical vehicle of Norwegian DJ legend Pål "Strangefruit" Nyhus. Along with partner Knut Sævik he is out to find the philosophers stone of dance music, leaving behind all normative concepts and delving audaciously into music’s inexplicable essence. Mungolian Jet Set is duo on a quest, perhaps a little like the mystic Gurdjieff who roamed in the vicinity of Mongolia...
Jungol, comprised of two brothers and one long-time friend, has created a sound that is a clear standout in the realm of experimental rock. Sometimes moody and ethereal, sometimes loud and complex, Jungol’s music stretches across a landscape of emotions, while simultaneously focusing on well-crafted songs that feature engaging vocals. “Much of the respect for Jungol by the Atlanta music community comes from the sheer originality of their songwriting, as well as their impressive technically skilled experimental style.” Performer Magazine 2010 Founding members Josh and Graham Yoder have inhabited Atlanta’s rock scene with various ensembles since their high school years....
Cirith Ungol is a Californian heavy metal band who formed in 1972 and split up in May 1992. They reformed in 2016. They drew influences from other metal groups such as Black Sabbath and Thin Lizzy, as well as Iggy and the Stooges. Their first album, "Frost and Fire", was closer to a hybrid between 1970s hard rock and metal with songs written by then bassist/guitarist Greg Lindstrom and drummer Robert Garven, but from "King of the Dead" (1984) and onwards they played a progressive rock influenced brand of doom metal with songs primarily written by vocalist Tim Baker. The...

The Mungolian Jet Set have landed! After a four-year journey through time and space, Paul “Strangefruit” Nyhus, Reidar Skar and their crew have returned, bringing many treasures back for the less adventurous to savour. The album begins with the burning rush of re-entering the atmosphere, hurtling towards the grounding of a beat beneath dualing keyboards, before relaunching through alien rapping, raunchy hard blues, Milesian jazz, atmospheric terror mixed with Zappaesque dry humour, manic DJ spins through the world of an Anime demon-cherub, ending with a return to the placid Earth. Our eyes have seen more through sound than we ever...
