Of German and French extract, Ocean Gaya’s first contact with music was through listening to a wide range of 70’s psychedelic jazz rock and black music in his childhood. Gayathri (full name Gayathri Krishnan, born May 1 1985) is a Dubai-based musician of Indian origin whose works combine rich, soulful vocals, mournful lyricism, lush acoustics and, sometimes, electronic experimentation.
