Trafassi is a Surinamese-Dutch party band, playing Caribbean music, but also top-40 hits and their own hits such as Wasmasjien (1985) and Punani. They were formed in 1981 and made fame as a salsa band. Their name 'Trafassi' means 'turnaround' or 'different way' in Suriname. .
Traffic Jammies is an electro/breakbeat artist mainly associated with the label beauty:burst. It was originally a two-person unit comprised of Yuji Yamakawa and Masanori Sato of the band NIP Sound System, but Yuji left sometime after 2003. Between 2000 and 2003, the NIP name was used for both the rock group and Traffic Jammies-style tracks on various compilation CDs. Sato continues making music under this alias, releasing albums on his own label about once a year. When performing live, Traffic Jammies is often accompanied by DJ Lucky.
