From Melbourne, Australia, Baseball were an indie-punk band whose influences ranged from Eastern European and Middle-Eastern Gypsy music, Sufi poetry, to bands like The Ex (Netherlands) the Pixies and Led Zeppelin. Originally a solo project for frontman/violinist Cameron Potts (Ninetynine, Sandro) in 2004, Baseball evolved to the current line-up in 2005, consisting of bass player Monika Fikerle (Love of Diagrams, Sea Scouts, etc) drummer/vocalist Evelyn Morris (Pikelet, True Radical Miracle) and guitarist Ben Butcher (The Assassination Collective). The Scarlet Furies has a curious history. The 5 guys in the band went to high school together and formed assorted popular bands over the years. Time passed and they went their separate ways. When Robert’s daughter, Raleigh, moved to L.A., her agent asked her to put together a vocal showcase to show off her amazing crystal clear alto voice and songwriting. Modern Baseball are an American indie rock/melodic punk band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that formed in 2011. The band consists of vocalist/guitarist Brendan Lukens, vocalist/lead guitarist Jacob Ewald, bassist Ian Farmer and drummer Sean Huber. Lukens and Ewald were high school friends from Frederick, Maryland and both attended Drexel University in Philadelphia. They released their first EP, The Nameless Ranger, online as a free download in November of 2011. This was followed by a split seven-inch with Marietta, entitled 'Couples Therapy.' in May 2012. They were featured on the MTV reality show Battle For Ozzfest and won, earning a spot on the 2005 Ozzfest Tour and a recording deal with Sanctuary/Divine Records.
