Heino Kaski (June 21 1885, Pielisjärvi – September 20 1957, Helsinki) was a Finnish composer and pianist. He studied with Erkki Melartin, Jean Sibelius, Paul Juon and Selim Palmgren. Kaski was awarded a Pro Finlandia medal in 1950. The 72-year-old composer died on 20 Sep 1957 - Sibelius died the same day at the age of 91. Kaski thought his main work was his sole symphony, in B minor (his opus 16, from 1919). Other output includes piano music, songs and sonatas for violin (1920), cello (1923) and flute (opus 51, 1937). .

Heino Eller (7 March 1887 – 16 June 1970) was an Estonian and Soviet composer and composition teacher. Eller was born in Tartu and took private lessons in violin and music theory, played in several ensembles and orchestras, and performed as violin soloist. In 1907 he entered the St Petersburg Conservatory to study violin. From 1908 to 1911 he was a law student. In 1920 Eller graduated from Petrograd Conservatory. From 1920 to 1940, Eller was a professor of music theory and composition at the Tartu Higher School for Music, during which time he formed the Tartu school of composition...

Heino (born 13 December 1938 in Düsseldorf as Heinz Georg Kramm) is a German singer of popular music (Schlager) and traditional Volksmusik. With his booming voice, bright blonde hair, and ever present sunglasses (due to Graves-Basedow disease), Heino is considered a national treasure in his native Germany, and an icon of kitsch in the English-speaking world - no doubt due to his resemblance to Andy Warhol and Bingo Rimér and the Latin American themes of many of his songs lending themselves to jokes about German emigration to South America after World War II. .
