There are 2 bands called Spektr: Spektr (1) is a mysterious two-man industrial black metal/black ambient band formed in 2000, in Paris, France. They are currently signed to Agonia Records and have released two full-length albums to date. The bands sound is a mix of raw black metal with elements of industrial and dark ambient. Their work has drawn very wide attention and acclaim, with their first being dubbed 'the weirdest black metal album ever' by Aquarius Records in San Francisco, and their second being acclaimed as "absolutely essential, unique and memorable" and "an album with a solid artistic value"....

There are three bands named Spektrum. The first one is the London-based genre-busting four piece, Spektrum. With one smash debut album Enter The Spektrum released on Germany's acclaimed Playhouse imprint already tucked under their belt - which saw the birth of globally-renowned singles Breaker, Freakbox and Kinda New - Spektrum are back at last. It all started back in 1994, when three guys from Kråkerøy in Fredrikstad (now also known as "Electronikstad") wanted to start a band. At that time the synth scene in Fredrikstad was at it's best. So they got geared up and made some songs. Thus the name "Spektralized" came to life. Lot of gigs followed. Mostly in the south of Norway. The band got quite good response and good reviews by the local press. Later in 1994, Spektralized released a demo-tape called "Genetic". 100 limited edition copies were sold within a few weeks, which was quite good for that time....

The Spektrum arose in October 2005 in Leiria, Portugal, when a group of friends with similar musical influences formed the band. The original members of the band were Dyrion – Vocals, Engraved - Guitars, Abigor - Guitars, Zouzahammen - Bass, and Lulu - Drums. The band started to play Thrash Metal, but later, in January 2006, unsatisfied with their music, the band decided to change their style.
