The Station Myth are four Daniels living in New York City. Although the Daniels live and breathe the NYC life, their debut album is possibly more influenced by the serene Southern locale in which they recorded. Three of the four Daniels grew up in the South and transplanted to New York where they met Daniel Ryan (lead vocalist), the fourth and final member. The band traveled south to Pine Mountain, Georgia in the summer of 2005, secluding themselves in a cabin on top of a mountain for over a month to record their new self-titled record. The record, as its artwork would also suggest, explores the push-and-pull of the city, and the results of putting one’s self at an objective distance from the city.

Their sound travels between Radiohead, Elbow, Joy Division, and Death Cab for Cutie, crossing the lines of pop and prog along the way.

The inventive, somewhat odd, drumming of Daniel Whitt and the powerful lead guitar of Daniel Fickle create The Station Myth's foundation. The bass guitar, performed by Daniel Bellury, crosses the line between foundation and secondary melody. This strange setup, mixed with the ambient production methods, create a soundscape not easily tamed. But Daniel Ryan, the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist, has been said to "surf the waves of the other Daniels' wake."

The Station Myth wish to alert you of the completion of their new self-titled album. To gain awareness of the ten-song epic, The Station Myth have teamed with the radio promotion talents of Athens, Georgia’s Team Clermont. Also in support of the new record, The Station Myth will embark on an eastern-US 3-week tour beginning September 22nd of this year, supported by Powderfinger Promotions (Boston). A music video is currently in production for Digger. The video is directed by Brian Jackson (Elbow, Gomez, Type O Negative), and will be an artistic representation of Digger's atmospheric tension. The video uses a cutting-edge technology that supports High-Definition slow motion.

The likelihood of four musically like-minded men named Daniel coming together on the isle of Manhattan in the dreary winter of 2004 seems more like an excerpt from a Dr. Seuss book than a reality. However a reunion of old friends, a cry for percussion, and a chance encounter at a local watering hole turned this strange bit of fiction into a sonic actuality.

The Station Myth are influenced in large part by the serendipitous nature in which they came together. .
