The oldest surviving Jewish (Yiddish) theatre in Europe--In 1994 celebrated its 120th birthday. Romania is a wonderful country with the distinction of having one of the oldest Jewish settlements in Europe. Now a somewhat diminished community, courtesy of the Nazis and their little band of local Fascists, the Iron Guard.
