Gloria Lasso (born Rosa Marรญa Coscolin in Barcelona, November 25, 1922 - Cuernavaca, Mexico, December 4, 2005) was a French-Spanish singer. In the fifties, she was one of the major competitors to Dalida.

She met success in the sixties, with in particular Amour, castagnettes et tango (1955), Etranger au paradis (1956), (a French version of Stranger in paradise by Tony Bennett, which was the first one-million copies record in France, or Buenas noches mi amor (1957), Bon voyage (1958). She was surfing the latino wave of the fifties in France and she was superseded by Dalida. She sought exile in Mexico, and attempted a come back in France in 1985 at Olympia.

Married six times, she had a reputation of being a man eater. The kitsch revival of these last few years made her a gay icon. .
