kraina lagodnosci | fr

Kraina Łagodności - The Land of gentliness is a other name for "Poezja śpiewana" - "the singed poetry", which is a characteristic Polish type of music, often compared to folk singers such as Bob Dylan.

Majority of the bands play very smooth and soft accoustic music, lyrics of the songs are often poems of famous Polish poets (or translated to Polish) but own author words is also nothing unusual.

Most known singers are Jacek Kaczmarski, Marek Grechuta, Ewa Demarczyk itp.

Apart of mainstream Poezja Śpiewana there is a slightly different kind called "Kraina Łagodności" - "The land of gentliness" - that's came from the lyrics of the famous song of Wolna Grupa Bukowina - "Pieśń Łagodnych" ("The Hymn of the Gentle ones"). Other often used name is "Piosenka Studencka" - "The student's songs" as in the past vast majority of the songs were written by students wandering in the mountains during their long (three months) holidays. Wolna Grupa Bukowina is a model example. Another well known names are Stare Dobre Małżeństwo or Bez Jacka. .
