ZAP est un groupe de Rock français, créé en 1999 puis reformé en 2002, composé par 4 jeunes nîmois. Les musiciens de ZAP se disent influencés par le rock anglais, mais les textes sont exclusivement en français. ZAP a remporté le Prix National SACEM en 2006. .
Zapp est un groupe de musique funk formé en 1978 ayant connu son heure de gloire au cours des années 1980. Les titres More bounce To The Ounce (1980), Dance floor (1982) et Computer Love (1985) sont les plus connus du groupe et sont samplés par les artistes funk hip-hop. Le groupe était articulé autour des frères Troutman : Roger, Larry, Lester et Terry. Les autres membres sont Bobby Glover, Eddie Barber, Shilrey Murdock, Jannetta Boyce, Jerome Derrickson, Sherman Fleetwood, Gregory Jackson, et Michael Warren. Miguel Zapata (Zapa) comes from A Coruña, Northern Spain. Former member of The Highlights, the spanish Bob Dylan tribute band, with which he toured intensively in 2006 when he was only 17. He started writing his own music soon after leaving the band, recording in 2007 his first demo, “Five Songs Left”. Anton Zap was born in Moscow in 1979. He studied Chinese for 7 years and then embarked on a 2 year sound engineering course. He started collecting wax from a very young age and in the mid 90’s he joined Moscow’s underground lounge group, Tetris, led by Vlad Lozinsky. He was resident DJ at one of Moscow’s leading clubs, Propaganda from 1997-2005. He later started his own band, Papaztrio alongside Pavel Hotin and Yuriy Shulgin.
