Weezer est un groupe power pop qui naît en 1993 à Los Angeles aux Etats-Unis à l'initiative de Rivers Cuomo.Il forme Weezer avec le bassiste Matt Sharp et le batteur Patrick Wilson. Trois jours avant de commencer l'enregistrement de son premier album éponyme, le groupe engage le guitariste Brian Bell.Le single Undone est un succès mais c'est le titre Buddy Holly qui fait exploser leur popularité. Le clip est réalisé en intégrant les musiciens aux décors de la série Happy Days.
