Crown The Empire is a 6-piece post-hardcore/metalcore band from Dallas Texas. Starting in 2010, the band set out with a goal to separate themselves in a genre often cluttered with copy-cat bands. They combined their love for the hardcore genre with infectious, loud, and powerful choruses of generations before their own, and ultimately created a fresh new approach to heavier music. Crown Heights Affair was an R&B / funk / disco group from New York, founded in the early
1970s.
Originally known as Nue Day Express,founded by then bassist Donnie Linton, the group took their new name from a district of their native Brooklyn, and consisted of Phil Thomas, William Anderson, Howard Young, Bert Reid, James Baynard, Raymond Reid, Muki Wilson and Raymond Rock. Signed by RCA they recorded a self titled debut album in 1974.
