Abraham Mateo est un chanteur espagnol de pop né le 25 août 1998 à San Fernando (Cadix).
Abraham voue un intérêt à la musique dès son plus jeune âge. À 7 ans, il s'inscrit à un concours de musique local, à Andalousie, et reçoit une mention spéciale du jury. Deux ans plus tard, il gagné le prix de révélation à la compétition de musique nationale.
À 9 ans, il chanté pour la première fois à la télévision à l'émission "Menuda Noche" télédiffusée sur la chaîne andalouse Canal Sur Televisión, où il a chanté devant des chanteurs fameux de musique latine...
Eduardo Mateo (1940-1990) was a Uruguayan singer, songwriter, guitarist and arranger. He played a key role in the development of the modern Uruguayan pop music mixing rock, jazz, bossa nova and local rhythms like candombe, in a similar way than Brazilian Tropicalismo. Musicians like Argentinian songwriter Juana Molina or Academy Award winners Jorge Drexler and Gustavo Santaolalla cited Mateo as a big influence. Artists like Pedro Aznar, Milton Nascimento or León Gieco have covered his songs. .
