2 Unlimited est un groupe de dance hollandais du début des années 1990, très représentatif de la vague Eurodance de l'époque. Formé par les producteurs belges Jean-Paul De Coster et Phil Wilde, 2 Unlimited se composait initialement de deux membres : Anita Doth, la chanteuse néerlandaise, et Ray Slijngaard, le rappeur néerlandais. 2 Unlimited reste un des plus grands groupe dance des années 90 mais c'est surtout grace à son titre Get ready for this, devenu un grand tube entendu dans de nombreux films comme Space Jam ou encore Scooby-Doo. .

Thomas Mapfumo was born in 1945 in Marondera, Zimbabwe. He sang with various bands including The Zutu Brothers, Hallelujah Chicken Run Band and the Acid Band before forming The Blacks Unlimited when he and Jonah Sithole merged their bands in 1977. The band developed a style called chimurenga music, meaning "(revolutionary) struggle" - a highly politicised electrification of traditional Shona mbira music, with lyrics railing against the colonial government in Rhodesia and, later, against Mugabe.
