Constrito is a straight edge experimental hardcore band from São Paulo, Brazil. Their manage to combine grindcore, crust, thrash, sludge/doom and even post-rock influences to create a unique sound. Constrito was founded by Pierre Kerchove (guitar) and Gabriel Godoy Castanho (drums)in 1996, when they released two demo tapes: “Nem ordem, Nem progresso”, and "Constrito". By 1999 the band played on the Verdurada festival in Brazil and toured the major brazilian cities of Curitiba, Joinville and Santos. Elaine Stritch was an Irish-American actress of stage and screen, as well as notable cabaret runs and one-woman shows. One of these shows was Elaine Stritch At Liberty, which won the Tony for Best Special Theatrical Event in 2002.
